also what should i claim when fileing taxes in 2011? and will getting married next year affect our tax income for 2012?

You filed under UK - since you mention W-2 I assume you're really in the US, although the form you fill out is a W-4. The W-2 is what your employer gives you at the end of the year.
This year you'd be safe in claiming 4 allowances on your W-4. You might be safe claiming even more that that. After you get married next year what you claim will depend on your husband's income too, and on what HE claims on his W-4.
