how is marketing as a career?

i have studied communications at a diploma level, now I'll be starting a marketing program. How is the environment in a marketing/advertising agency? I'm more into the creative aspect (coming up with the ideas and promotional tactics, video marketing) rather than the analytical side. Can someone who works in marketing define what are the career paths i can take? And perhaps outline what their job consists of doing as a marketing personal?

And lastly how is the job scope for a career in marketing, is it too saturated??
